Energy Management and Trajectory Optimization for UAV-Enabled Legitimate Monitoring Systems

Thanks to their quick placement and high flexibility, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) can be very useful in the current future wireless communication systems. With a growing number of smart devices infrastructure-free networks, it is necessary legitimately monitor these networks prevent crimes. In this paper, novel framework proposed exploit flexibility UAV for legitimate monitoring via joint trajectory design energy management. The system includes suspicious transmission link with terrestrial transmitter receiver, link. adjust its positions send jamming signal receiver ensure successful eavesdropping. Based on model, we first develop an approach minimize overall consumption UAV. Building judicious (re-)formulation, alternating optimization developed compute locally optimal solution polynomial time. Furthermore, model include propulsion power Leveraging successive convex approximation method, effective iterative find feasible fulfilling Karush-Kuhn-Tucker (KKT) conditions. Extensive numerical results are provided verify merits schemes.
